Following Jesus begins with receiving, not achieving. Through faith in Christ, you are welcomed into God's family. You may still be learning, healing and changing, but you no longer approach God as a stranger.

Thank God aloud for receiving you. Write: “Because I belong to Christ, I am a child of God.”

Prayer

Father, thank You for welcoming me. Teach me to live securely as Your child and to receive Your love each day. Amen.

A New Beginning

Being born again means that God gives spiritual life where there was separation from Him. Christianity is not simply improving old behaviour; the Holy Spirit begins a new work within you.

Tell Jesus where you need a fresh beginning. Read John 3:1-17 slowly and note what God does and what we receive.

Jesus, thank You for giving me new life. Help me leave the old way behind and grow in the life You have begun. Amen.

Grace removes both pride and despair. You cannot boast that you saved yourself, and you need not despair that you are too broken to be saved. God rescues through Christ as a gift received by faith.

Identify one way you have tried to earn God's acceptance. Release it and thank Him for grace.

Father, I receive salvation as Your gift. Free me from striving and teach me to live gratefully. Amen.

Confession is honest agreement with God. It is not hiding, excusing or punishing yourself. Because Jesus is faithful, you can bring sin into the light, receive forgiveness and turn toward a new path.

Confess one specific sin to God. If another person was harmed, prayerfully plan a safe and truthful act of restitution.

Prayer

Lord, I bring my sin into Your light. Cleanse me, restore me and lead me in truth. Amen.

Father, let Your love become the foundation of my life. Heal my fear of rejection and form willing obedience in me. Amen.

Trouble can tempt you to withdraw from God. Psalm 46 teaches the opposite: God Himself is refuge and strength. A refuge is where you run when danger and weakness are real.
